The Olympus 40-150mm Lens is Not a Good Choice to Shoot Wildlife

I recently got myself the Olympus 40-150mm lens. We took a trip and went on a safari, and I thought to try this lens out. I was so excited to take my camera and new lens with. I could not wait to capture some wildlife on my camera, but was very disappointed in the end. This is a great lightweight and small lens and it really does take nice pictures, but is not suitable for shooting wildlife. I found that the lens just does not focus fast enough, making it impossible to shoot action shots. This led to much frustration. For shooting birds and wildlife the reach on the lens is also not really sufficient. Even in good light the lens takes a while to focus, only adding to the frustration. I would do some more research next time I want to buy a new lens and not make such a hasty decision. I am disappointed to think of all the wonderful photos of the wild animals I missed out on taking.
