I recently got myself the Olympus 40-150mm lens. We took a trip and went on a safari, and I thought to try this lens out. I was so excited to take my camera and new lens with. I could not wait to capture some wildlife on my camera, but was very disappointed in the end. This is a great lightweight and small lens and it really does take nice pictures, but is not suitable for shooting wildlife. I found that the lens just does not focus fast enough, making it impossible to shoot action shots. This led to much frustration. For shooting birds and wildlife the reach on the lens is also not really sufficient. Even in good light the lens takes a while to focus, only adding to the frustration. I would do some more research next time I want to buy a new lens and not make such a hasty decision. I am disappointed to think of all the wonderful photos of the wild animals I missed out on taking.

The Olympus 40-150mm Lens is Not a Good Choice to Shoot Wildlife
Saturday, January 28th, 2012Traveling with the Nikon D7000 and Capturing Nature
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011Taking pictures with the Nikon D7000 focuses on the important stillness of life as well as the motions that some things in nature take part of. There are many great shots to have around nature. Some people choose to visit places like the grand canyon or the mountains just to catch nature in the true natural beauty that it has to offer. You do not have to travel far and wide to find great pictures of nature. Most of the pictures you can take in your backyard will show you more nature than if you were to travel to a hot spot such as a tourist location. Travelling around with this camera will not leave you wanting more once you return home, because everything that you saw and captured on film is right there at your fingertips and you will have the memories to share and hold for a lifetime.
